The Setup

Alright so in an attempt to get a wrangle on my finances I am going to post here every day where I spend my money and how much money I make. If for some reason you are looking at this and I don't know you, I am a professional poker player. I don't really want to post exactly how much money I have because I am a privacy nut.

But we are going to assume that I have a bankroll of $5,000 and I have some life savings. The next point of this is going to be that I want to document my journey to retirement. I think that in 10 years I can have enough income constantly coming in that I will be able to retire. Now this probably sounds crazy to most but I think that a combination of investing in Stocks, Bonds, and other investments, and purchasing low risk business' that have a steady amount of income, or maybe rental properties.+

Now generally I will pay myself a set amount every week. $500 in actual spending money (I have other taxes to pay and what not)

I have some pretty low fixed month costs:

Cable/Internet/Phone: $170
Electric: $50
Rent:$650

So that is pretty grossly cheap it costs me $29 a day to live like I currently do. The other awesome thing is I am moving to Florida, so next month is the last month which I already paid two years ago!!! Also the place I am moving is furnished so I am going to need to get rid of all of my stuff basically. All of the things I own that have sentimental value are up in Vermont. So I am just going to get rid of everything I own. The only thing that stinks is I am going to have to purchase a car. That obviously is going to increase the cost of living for me. I am also debating getting a motorcycle but I dunno if I really want to do that since I would be going to visit my grandparents in Melbourne and that is like a 4 hour drive, which is long ride on a motorcycle.

I dunno I am definitely going to get a small cheap POS car. I don't really need a reliable car to get to work every day so I am just going with a cheap one. So basically I am going to sell all of my possessions pay off a few different debts that I have and head on down to Flordia. Alright I am going to jet for now and then I am going to update this later with my end of the day stats.

So today is July 1st and so far today I have spent:

Food: $6.00 for breakfast at True Grounds
Food: $3.00 for Iced Coffee at True Grounds
Food: $6.00 for Snack at White Hen

I have a feeling most of my money is going to food. And even today it was only a few things but it added up to $15.00.

And in poker I dropped $80 in Holdem but made $199 in Omaha for a $119 profit, and after todays expenses and food consumption the grand total is.

$5074.00 in the old bankroll.
